T-Mobile USA announced on Tuesday that it planned on releasing the Motorola CLIQ on its airwaves as soon as November 2, 2009. The handset comes to the US market as the first mobile phone from Motorola to run under Google's Android operating system, and will be exclusively available for purchase from T-Mobile. Those who would like to place orders for the device prior to its release date will be able to do so starting with October 19 on T-Mobile's website.

According to T-Mobile, the pre-orders for Motorola CLIQ will be somehow different, as the handset will be shipped as soon as the orders are received, and will also come with a complimentary car charger. This way, those who will order the handset in advance will have the opportunity to be the first to enjoy T-Mobile’s latest Android-powered phone, the carrier added. As for the price, the Motorola CLIQ will cost $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

“T-Mobile customers text message and access social messaging on mobile devices more than those of any other carrier,” said Wendy Piñero DePencier, vice president of brand marketing, T-Mobile USA. “That’s why we’re excited to give them the first opportunity to purchase the CLIQ, and then in early November offer the CLIQ prominently at T-Mobile stores nationwide in time for the holidays.”

T-Mobile also says that those interested in the Motorola CLIQ can now register on its website here to receive more updates on the device. Those who will register before the pre-order period begins will have the opportunity to win a new CLIQ, the carrier states. The handset, as many of you might already know, comes with integrated Google technology, delivering fast access to Google mobile services like Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube and Picasa.

The specification list of the phone includes a 3.1-inch HVGA full touch-screen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording capabilities, a 3.5mm headset jack, Wi-Fi connectivity, microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32 GB of additional storage space, and pre-loaded apps like Amazon MP3 store application, Shazam, iMeem Mobile, AccuWeather, MySpace Mobile and Quickoffice, as well as TeleNav GPS Navigator.
