Starting tomorrow, April 27, T-Mobile customers interested in the purchase of a new Windows Phone 8 smartphone will be able to grab the Lumia 521 handset from Nokia, as it is set to debut on HSN.

The smartphone, made official a while ago as Magenta’s flavor of the Lumia 520, the cheapest device in Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 lineup, is set to hit shelves at only $149.95 (115 Euro), a car charger, and screen protector in the box, T-Mobile announced.

“Following the HSN debut, the Nokia Lumia 521 will be available at Microsoft Retail Stores and Walmart on May 11,” the wireless carrier also said.

“The Lumia 521 will be $149 at Microsoft Retail Stores. At Walmart, the Lumia 521 will be available with the retailer’s exclusive T-Mobile no contract $30 per month unlimited Web and text plan.”

The new mobile phone is set to arrive on shelves at T-Mobile as well, via all of its retail channels, yet specific details on when that might happen haven’t been provided as of now.

For those out of the loop, we should note that, although it is the cheapest Windows Phone 8 device in Nokia’s series, Lumia 521 still packs appealing features inside.

The smartphone will hit shelves with a 4-inch touchscreen display on the front, while packing a dual-core processor inside, paired with 512MB of RAM.

Furthermore, it sports 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.

Nokia also packed the Lumia 521 with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of shooting videos at HD resolution, as well as with various features and applications coming from Nokia themselves.

“It will also include exclusive Nokia applications such as Nokia Music, Cinemagraph, Creative Studio, Panorama, Smart Shoot and HERE Drive, Maps and Transit,” T-Mobile explains.
