Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA launched only a few weeks ago a new flavor of its myTouch 3G Android-based mobile phone, namely the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition, and now it seems that the company has removed the device from its Upgrade program. Moreover, the myTouch 3G in Black is also missing from the program starting with February 1, it seems.

A recent article on TmoNews points at the fact that both of these devices were removed from T-Mobile's Upgrade program, which means that existing customers willing to get one of them can no long do so. “Effective February 1, the myTouch 3G (Black) and the myTouch 3G Fender LE have been permanently removed from the Upgrade program. Any myTouch 3G (Black) and myTouch 3G Fender LE orders filed prior to the devices being removed from the Upgrade program will be fulfilled,” is what the screenshot with the announcement reads.

According to the news site, the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition has been removed from the Upgrade program due to the fact that it is out of stock in the warehouse, something that suggests the device has seen a great traction among the carrier's users. For what it's worth, the handset came with a nice customization on its case, not to mention that it was packed up with a nice range of songs from Eric Clapton and other popular singers.

As for the myTouch 3G (Black), it might have been removed from the program due to the fact that the carrier is getting ready to launch an updated flavor of the handset, it seems. Rumors on the near launch of a myTouch 3G v1.2 have already emerged around the Internet, suggesting that T-Mobile is set to make it available for purchase as soon as February 10 is here, and it seems that the chances for these rumors to pan out have just increased. However, nothing it certain until officially announced, so stay tuned for additional details on the matter.
