As expected, T-Mobile USA has just announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Exhibit II 4G starting tomorrow, October 27.

The budget-friendly smartphone will be exclusively available at Walmart stores with a price tag of $199.99 (145 EUR) outright. However, the Exhibit II 4G is also planned for nationwide availability starting November 2.

Customers can also purchase the handset for as low as $29.99 (22 EUR) after a $50 mail-in-rebate and with a new two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan.

Leaked a few weeks ago, Samsung Exhibit II 4G is a downgraded Galaxy W, which comes with a lesser processor and camera.

T-Mobile offers a variety of low-cost service plans that, paired with America’s largest 4G network, provide a compelling reason for consumers to step up to the benefits of 4G smartphones. The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is the perfect device for consumers desiring a smartphone with robust 4G entertainment and Web browsing experiences – at a price they can afford,” said Andrew Morrison, vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA.

Fortunately, it's got the same 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

On the inside, the smartphone embeds a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.

In addition, it packs 512MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as 3-megapixel photo snap with LED flash and camcorder.

Samsung Exhibit II 4G provides support for T-Mobile USA's 4G network, hence the name. It offers access to a wide range of popular TV shows and movies via T-Mobile TV in mobile HD and Samsung Media Hub.

Software-wise, the Exhibit II 4G runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread, along with some of the most popular applications and services, including Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Search.
