HTC Sensation 4G is currently available for free at T-Mobile USA with a new two-year agreement. However, the offer is only available online until the end of the day.

Those who think of the phone as being unattractive due to the fact that it comes with an older Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system should reconsider as HTC Sensation 4G is about to receive an upgrade.

T-Mobile USA has just confirmed on its official support site that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the HTC Sensation 4G has finished its testing process and will soon be available for download.

According to the carrier, official word will go out the moment the long-awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Sensation 4G goes live.

The latest news coming from T-Mobile USA is somewhat surprising (in a good way), especially given the fact that the latest rumors claimed that Android 4.0 ICS for HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Amaze 4G had been pushed to June.

We’re still not sure if the carrier is able to push the promised update within the next couple of days as T-Mobile USA did not specify any exact release dates yet.

The latest update for HTC Sensation 4G deployed by T-Mobile USA is Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, software build 1.50.531.1. This update enhanced software stability and battery life. In addition, it added lots of improvements, such as Wi-Fi connectivity and Trace dictionary. Bug fixes have been included as well.

You can read T-Mobile USA’s statement below, which confirms Android 4.0 ICS for HTC Sensation 4G has been completed, and stay tuned for more updates on the matter:

The Android 4.0 (ICS) update for the HTC Sensation 4G has completed its testing process and we expect it to be available very soon. Please stay tuned for an official communication from T-Mobile regarding how and when you’ll be able to receive the update.”
