A special promotion for Father’s Day

Wireless carrier T-Mobile US is reportedly gearing up to offer something special to its users on June 19. According to the rumors around the Internet, Father’s Day will be celebrated at the operator with free phones, though contract agreements are not excluded from this equation, it seems. The promotion is expected to run only on June 19, it seems, yet no official details on the matter are known for the time being.

The guys over at TmoNews managed to grab shots of the scripts of two commercials that the wireless carrier is said to start airing near June 19. The shots are some sort of a proof that the promotion is to be set in place on that day, but, since the official announcement did not emerge until now, we'll take this with a grain of salt, as things might prove otherwise in the end.

“These images are none other than the scripts for two commercial spots, filmed last week and airing sometime before the 19th of June. While our sources have stated some additional details that may not be included, we’re only going with what’s actually on the picture itself. Is this rock solid information? No, of course not, nothing is rock solid until we can say, “this is rock solid”, but we’re confident that the above images are real and actually scripts for commercials regarding the Father’s Day June 19th promotion,” the news site reports.

A great deal of additional details is still lacking, such as the plans that the carrier's free phones will be available on, and the like. However, in case the rumor pans out in the end, T-Mobile subscribers in the US should be able to get some very appealing devices from the operator for free, including the high-end HTC HD2, or the Android-based myTouch 3G. All that remains is for us to wait for the official confirmation of the company's plans, so stay tuned for more.
