During August this year

Less than a year ago, US operator T-Mobile introduced the Windows Mobile-powered MDA, a product that was meant to suit the customers' needs for a device packing EDGE, WiFi and the convenient WM OS. Now T-Mobile has finally thought it fit to let the MDA go, as the handset has completely disappeared from the operator's website.

Since T-Mobile has officially taken down the MDA, its Pocket PC offering, this could only lead to people wondering what the operator is going to provide as a replacement. And as usual, it didn't take long for rumors/speculations to surface regarding the MDA's substitute as well as the features it will offer. The photos, that were found here, show the new T-Mobile handheld that is said to replace the MDA, a re-vamped HTC P4350 dubbed 'the Wings'.

This would not be the first time the Wings was introduced. HTC's full-QWERTY keyboard device targeting business users that need to work while out of the office will run Windows Mobile 6 Professional and pack a OMAP 850 CPU, 64MB RAM, 128MB Flash and a 65k color screen with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution. It was also previously said to include a 2-megapixel camera and WiFi, but apparently, we'll all have to wait for its official release to get an accurate listing of all of its features.

So far, the only appealing feature the Wings has to offer is the new and improved Windows Mobile 6. The handheld will be among the first running the OS to come out on the market. According to mymobile911, the HTC Wings will be hitting T-Mobile stores during August this year, its release having been postponed from June due to technical issues.
