One of the latest Android-based smartphones manufactured by HTC, the Sensation is expected to make its entrance on the American market.

Rumors about a possible June 8th release emerged last month via AdWords, which unveiled that the HTC Sensation 4G might be available on the market through T-Mobile USA starting June 8th.

According to the guys over at TmoNews, who received a screenshot that confirms the previous rumors, the HTC Sensation 4G is indeed slated for a June 8th release.

The Sensation is the first Android smartphone to introduce the new and improved HTC Sense 3.0 UI and is among the first to be equipped with a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor, complemented by the next generation Adreno 220 graphical processing unit.

As expected, the device runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread, as well as HTC Watch, a new application and service from HTC, meant to provide users with fast access to latest, premium movies and TV shows, or to easily discover the latest video content.

At first glance, the phone does not stand out from other HTC high-end Android smartphones, but on a closer look, one can notice that it bears an aluminum unibody construction and a sleek form factor.

The phone comes with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen qHD display with 16 million colors and a 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

In addition, the Sensation 4G boasts a superior 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, with HD video recording capabilities (1080p resolution).

On the inside, the device packs 1 GB of internal memory, 768 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8 GB included),

The phone is compatible with T-Mobile's HSPA+ network, though it only supports HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, while the carrier's 4G network is known for offering speeds of up to 21 Mbps.
