It seems that the day when T-Mobile users would have the possibility to enjoy HSPA+ speeds on a new handset on their carrier's airwaves has been almost confirmed. September 29th should be that day, as the wireless carrier is reportedly gearing up to have the T-Mobile G2 Android-based HSPA+ handset available on its network starting with that date.

This is not the first time the carrier is rumored to plan the launch of T-Mobile G2 on September 29th, that's for sure, but it seems that the guys over at TmoNew have a leaked document to back this up.

Moreover, the leaked shot that emerged on the news site seems to show a new, surprising fact, namely that the T-Mobile G2 handset would be one and the same device as the previously leaked HTC Vanguard.

We all knew the G2 under the codename of HTC Vision, but it seems that the Vanguard and Vision are one and the same handset, at least this is what the recently leaked ROM for G2, as well as the new documentation show.

According to TmoNews, these pieces of info are actually getting along pretty well, as Vanguard was previously rumored to hit the market on September 9, while G2 too was said at one point to be set for launch on that day.

Of course, there are still a lot of unknown details here, but there are great chances that it would all be unveiled in the near future, since the G2 is expected to be made available for pre-order in a few days from now.

This is another unconfirmed rumor on this, but it wouldn't be the first time these rumors turned out to be real.

Only one month is left before T-Mobile would offer its customers the possibility to enjoy true HSPA+ speeds on their smartphone, so keep an eye on this space for more on the matter.
