Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA and telecommunications solution provider Motorola have announced recently that the latter’s H24 HSPA Module has been approved for use on the former’s 3G network, and that it has been added to T-Mobile’s M2M solutions portfolio. The H24 series from Motorola has been designed so as to offer high-speed HSUPA/HSDPA connectivity, and comes with embedded SIM technology, phone maker added.

According to the company, the embedded SIM technology present with the H24 series enables it to deliver great wireless connectivity without being affected by environmental factors like temperature, humidity and motion. The H24 HSPA series has been included in Motorola’s Modules+ portfolio, which is meant to deliver enhanced M2M solutions to customers.

There are a wide range of features that the M2M market can benefit from when it comes to the Motorola Modules+ portfolio, and the company states that, “Together with a unified form factor across technologies, allowing a single design solution for a 'zero time, zero effort' integration, Motorola Modules+ are an optimal offer for a fast and efficient time to market, an accelerating ROI and for preserving long-term life expectancy of a deployed solution.”

Other features include the presence of embedded SIM, a range of operating temperatures going from -30°c to +85°C, RX diversity, Internal GPS and FOTA support, as well as reduced latency meant to facilitate application deployment. Motorola’s H24 series can deliver true mobile broadband connectivity for M2M solutions like infotainment, fixed-wireless terminals, or advanced security systems.

“T-Mobile has teamed up with Motorola to offer one of the most innovative solutions for companies looking for 3G broadband connectivity to its M2M devices,” said John Horn, national director of M2M, T-Mobile USA. “Motorola’s HSPA module and its embedded SIM feature allow us to provide a trusted solution for 'always-connected' services that help companies achieve utmost operational control and return on investment goals.”
