A new version of Swype for Symbian is now available for download for the owners of Nokia devices, which a wide range of enhancements included into the mix, although it is available only in a beta flavor for the time being.

Pushed out through the Nokia Beta Labs, the new Swype for Symbian 2.1 Beta is expected to graduate to a final release in the near future.

Apparently, the team of developers behind the application managed to resolve a wide range of important issues with it, and they are expecting to push the software to the Nokia Store soon.

“Over the last 8 weeks we’ve addressed all of the critical issues raised on Nokia Beta Labs. We've also made some key improvements that should make the whole experience from download, to install, to uninstall much more enjoyable,” the team explains.

Those who will download and install the new Swype for Symbian on their devices are encouraged to provide feedback on the experience they receive from it, so that any issues that might have slipped in the new flavor would be resolved.

Some of the main enhancements that the new application release comes to Symbian devices with include:

- Complete overhaul to the install / uninstall experience. Install to C:, SD Card, Mass Memory, etc, without a problem. (We still recommend you install to C:) - Critical Settings crash has been fixed - Official Symbian Belle support - Thai and Vietnamese language support - Many small bug fixes thanks to our Beta testers.

The application comes with support for all S60 5th Edition and Symbian^3 devices, and brings along support for languages like English US, English UK, Spanish, Portuguese BR, and French CA.

Users can also download one of the 30 additional language packs that the application offers access to, provided that they would like to use another language on their devices.
