Swipe Telecom introduced another addition to the budget tablet market for the Indian market today. The new Swipe Halo Value+ comes to replace the original Swipe Halo Value released back in March.

The slate features a pretty low 800 x 480 pixel resolution, so if you hope you’ll be able to spot fine details, forget about this device. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM or 1GB of RAM, depending on what customers choose, FoneArena says.

There’s 4GB internal memory, but more can be added via the microSD card (up to 32GB).

Two cameras are provided on board, the 2-megapixel rear one and the 0.3-megapixel (VGA) frontal one. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and 2G functions are also present. Like all the recent budget slates to reach the Indian market, the Halo Value+ offers voice calling support.

Swipe has packed not only a couple of games, but also media, educational and social media apps with the slate.

Interested parties will soon be able to purchase the 7-incher from retail shops and online webstores. The 512MB of RAM model will be available for Rs 6,699 / $109 / €79 while the 1GB will be priced at Rs 6,999 / $114 / €83.
