SwiftKey, one the most popular keyboard applications for mobile devices, has just received a small but important update on the iOS platform, which brings some new features and many improvements.

Those that have been using SwiftKey on their iOS devices for a long time should notice immediately that developers have added new emoji.

According to SwiftKey, their iOS application now features more than 800 emoji characters that enables users to enhance their words.

The new emoji characters added with the latest update also include flags and family, as well as the Vulcan Salute “live long and prosper.” But that's not all, as developers also confirmed that thanks to the latest update, SwiftKey users will be able to choose skin tone of their emoji characters.

Furthermore, the update has been confirmed to remove some switches, so users will now have fewer of them back to the Apple keyboard.

There's also a number of stability improvements that are meant to reduce crashes that SwiftKey users have been experiencing on their iPhone devices.

Last but not least, SwiftKey users will now be able to choose to have either the emoji or globe key to the left of the Spacebar.

As mentioned earlier, the newest update also comes with some bug fixes. In that regard, developers announced that they have addressed an issue that prevented iPhone 4S owners to look through the store.

Another fix addresses a themes-related bug that did not allow users to correctly order and show the price of In-App Purchase setting in System Settings, which is disabled.

If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download Swiftkey for iPhone for free via App Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running iOS 8.0 or later.
