Back in her heyday, Suzanne Somers was truly a stunning beauty. Of course, that is not to say that now that she’s 62 she’s less beautiful or good looking, but it does mean that she’s going out of her way to stay that way. As Suzanne herself recently admitted on Oprah, the price she pays for her beauty is no small thing, but she’s more than willing to pay it no matter what.

Somers’ daily “regime” means almost 60 pills and several injections, some on the arm and some in other parts of her body, where other women would never even consider sticking a needle, not to mention do it themselves. Yet Suzanne does it and, even if she’s fully aware that speaking about it could make her sound like a “fanatic,” it’s a price she wants to pay if it means staying the way she is now for as long as possible.

“Somers, 62, invited cameras into her home to watch her daily routine of hormone injections and supplement popping. She begins with rubbing a syringe of estrogen on one arm, every day. For two weeks out of the month, she rubs progesterone on the other.” Fox News reports. “But it doesn’t end there. She can’t start her day without taking 40 pills, 15 of which she downs in a thick, yellow smoothie her husband makes for her (she says it's the secret to their marriage!). Then she ends her day with an additional 20 pills at night before bed.” the same report reads.

Even if the amount of supplements seems a bit too much, Somers explains it was the only way she could get rid of “the seven dwarfs of menopause,” helping her remain almost unchanged throughout the years. “I wanna be there,” she reveals, pointing to her head. “Until I’m 110. And I’m going to do what I have to do to get there.” the actress tells Oprah about her extreme ways of fighting old age.

Of course, being as beautiful as she is at 62 is not entirely a question of just popping pills. The actress is also a regular at the gym, having already put out several fitness books and DVDs. At the same time, it is obvious that whatever her “miracle” eternal youth treatment is, she is permanently under medical supervision.
