14 DAY TRIAL // In her interview with AARP Magazine, Hollywood veteran actress decided to open up about a part of her life that she's so far managed to keep out of the press, her love life.
The 67-year-old actress confirmed she was romantically involved with her long-time business partner, Jonathan Bricklin. Her exact words were “Jonathan and I collaborate on different things. That means a lot of things.”
The reporter then asked her if that also meant romantically and Susan shyly admitted “Yeah, I think so.” The two have been rumored to be a couple for some time now, after they denied such allegations on separate occasions.
Bricklin, 36, is the owner of New York's SpiN Ping Pong bar, where Sarandon is a business partner.
So far, he's been calling the actress a friend, “"We have a great relationship. I've gone on trips with her to meet with ping-pong players, and she has been extremely generous with her time. She's one of my closest friends now. But as far as a romantic relationship, we are not having one. I'm flattered people think that we might be.”
Sarandon was in a relationship with fellow actor Tim Robbins for 23 years, until they separated in 2009. At the time, she praised her experience on Broadway as an eye-opener, “It made me examine where I was in my union and in my life, and to have discussions about making changes.”
The venerable actress is used to stirring things up in the media. Recently, she made the headlines by admitting that she had been high at most award shows that she took part in during her long career.
She explained that it was the only way to get through such “boring” affairs. The only exception she admitted to were the Oscars, which she described as the only serious award.
