14 DAY TRIAL // A Santa Cruz daredevil surfer jumps off a cliff and into the water with his board, in an amazing viral photo.
Photographer Allen Hughes described that he was behind and he was trying to catch up to the competition, in a surfing contest.
The photo was snapped at Lighthouse Point, and the area where the surfer has jumped from is about 30 feet (9 meters) high.
He had missed his cue, as he was supposed to make a 10-foot (3-meter) jump beforehand. He tried to catch up by diving off the cliff, and his timing was impeccable.
"He timed it perfectly and landed just behind the white water and paddled out. I never did find out who he was. The cliff itself must be 30 foot (9 meter) high and the waves were maybe higher," Hughes describes, as reported by The Post Game.
