Or so they say

It would seem that there's some sort of competition between the various manufacturers of USB flash drives for the title of "world's smallest drive", one of the most important contenders for this title being the Super Talent company. Over time, they've come up with several "record-breaking" models, and this also seems to be the case with the particular model you're about to see as follows, namely the Pico D, which they claim to be the world's smallest drive equipped with a swivel system.

Thus, while most of the USB flash drives available on the market measure just 2.5 inches in length, the Pico D is significantly smaller, measuring just 39.7mm x 13.5mm x 4.9mm. This makes it a tad bigger than the Pico A version, but we must not forget that the D model features a shock and water resistant swiveling cap.

Additionally, it's also quite important to mention that the Pico D is available in several storage versions, ranging from 1 to 8 GB, while the data transfer rates are also quite impressive, namely around 200X (30MB/sec).

"Pico D is an exceptionally smart looking product. But after you carry it in your pocket and use it for a while you realize that there's much more to it than handsome looks; very few other USB drives can measure up to the Pico D in features, performance and quality," said Super Talent Director of Marketing, Joe James. "Our engineers and manufacturing people fussed over minute details for months before we took Pico D to production, so the finished drive has an unmatched feel of quality to it," James added.

And the best part is, you won't even have to spend a fortune on this minute storage solution. According to the company, the Pico D flash drive will be available this week from several online retailers for under $40, which places it well within the normal price limits for this family of products.
