Two modules and two kits optimized for X58 and P55 systems

Those that paid attention to what was happening yesterday may have noticed that G.Skill made a fairly big crater in the enthusiast memory market when it rammed its 24GB DDR3 kit into it. Needless to say, such a large-capacity RAM offering is not easily topped, or even remotely matched. On the other hand, there is no real need to engage in a competition on such a level, since systems, or motherboard that actually can accommodate such a memory capacity are few at best. As such, Super Talent settled for something less explosive but just as enthusiast-ready.

Super Talent put the final touches on four of its memory products. Of them, two are stand-alone modules of 4GB, whereas the other two are kits of two and three, respectively. All of them are constructed out of 2Gb DRAM ICs. As such, they boast capacities of 4GB to 12GB, though they are, more or less, identical in all other respects.

The modules go by the 'names' of WP200UB4G9 and WB200UB4G9, have a capacity of, as already mentioned, 4GB and operate at latencies of 9-10-9-28 and a voltage of 1.65V. Also, their clock frequency is of 2,000 MHz.

These specs hold true for the kits as well, which are dubbed WP200UX8G9 and WB200T12G9. The capacities are of 8GB (4GB x 2) and 12GB (4GB x 3), respectively. All four solutions are optimized for compatibility with X58 and P55 platforms.

"The industry looks to SuperTalent for fast, reliable memory, over-clocked modules. We are proud to demonstrate our continued leadership in the over-clocking space by offering these new low-latency, large capacity 4GB memory kits running at 2,000MHz. ", said Super Talent COO, CH Lee.

Unfortunately, Super talent was not too forthcoming when it came to the pricing and availability details of its creations, though this mystery shouldn't endure too long.
