Though it has already released a fair number of flash storage solutions, Super Talent has again brought forth a set of flash drives, the CKB, only they focus on compactness and versatility more than they put emphasis on capacity.

It seems that shaping USB flash drives as keys has become quite the trend lately, likely because it allows such devices to seamlessly fit in with one's collection of real keys.

The new line of Flash drives that Super Talent developed comes in multiple capacities, so that it may cater to the needs of as wide a range of consumers as possible.

As far as design goes, they measure 40 (L) x 25.9 (W) x 3.7 (H) mm and use a metal chassis constructed in such a way as to confer a decent degree of ruggedness.

In fact, Super Talent claims that the newcomer is not only resistant to drops or other physical abuse, but also to water.

In terms of performance, the CKB are definitely not among the fastest out there, since they don't come equipped with support for the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard.

Still, they work on USB 2.0, which means that the transfer rate is of 480 Mbps, while backwards compatibility with USB 1.1 ensures a broad compatibility.

"Making a drive that mimics an actual key and fits on your keychain is a natural fit. We took it to the next level by making the drive metal, rugged, lightweight and water-resistant. " said Super Talent COO, CH Lee.

The CKB series is composed of five models, with internal capacities of 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB.

All of them are sold with a lifetime warranty and in two color options, with silver and nickel finishes, though their actual prices have yet to be revealed.
