Yes, Super Mario Galaxy, currently the highest rated game of all time on Game Rankings, has even surpassed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, scoring 97.8 percent from 30 reviews, compared to the 31 reviews of Zelda that brought the latter 97.6 percent. Here, have a look and see.

One of the first Super Mario Galaxy reviews, Famitsu's, clearly said back in October that "every game fan should play" it: "The game takes place in a 3D space where you could be walking on the ground or upside down," confirms Famitsu. "Normally that would look like it is difficult to control, but you can play this instinctively. The balance is just perfect and it is a game anyone can really play."

"Gimmicks and actions using the game's unique gravity, and fun boss fights definitely delivers on the Mario name. It is even just fun to watch if you are not playing."

"The game's pacing is very good, you get hooked more and more." The reviewers also confirmed in October that Super Mario Galaxy was neither too easy, nor too difficult, while "collecting the star piece by pointing the Wiimote is already fun in itself. [...] The excitement of Mario 64 is back! Lots of features that are perfect for the Wii, and you get addicted wanting to know what kind of obstacles await you in the next stage. Difficulty gradually increases and the map layout is great. Every game fan should play this game."

Basically, Super Mario Galaxy has players shaking, tilting and pointing, taking full advantage of all the Wii Remote's functionality, as well as the Nunchuk. There are tons of new moves for gamers to execute, while they can even point at and drag items with the pointer, allowing for a more elaborate gameplay experience.

Mario defined the 3-D platforming genre with Super Mario 64. Super Mario Galaxy only proves once more that Nintendo's red-hatted, mustached-jumping plumber has more jumps to perform, this time across wild alien terrain in low-gravity. Oh, are Wii fans going to giggle about this one...!
