The European community is able to get it first, while the North Americans have to wait until the first quarter of 2008.

The 2005-signed sci-fi real time strategy game, SunAge, has gone gold and will hit the stands sooner rather than later. Presented as the next generation RTS, filled with innovations and unique features, SunAge does seem to be a promising title. All we have to do now is wait and see if Roman Pfneudl, CEO of Vertex4, was right when he said that this game has become much more than it was anticipated.

The European community will see the game coming sooner, unlike their fellow North Americans. People from the UK, Scandinavia, Benelux and Italy will be able to purchase the game starting the 30th of November from game shops, while North America and Germany, France or Spain will have to wait until the first quarter of 2008, sometime in January. Also, for those of you who prefer purchasing the game online, this is possible, too: Gamersgate.com, Direct2Drive.com and Totalgaming.net are the direct download portals where SunAge will be available.

With 25 single player maps and 10 distinct maps for the multiplayer mode, SunAge comes with some helpful new features like Command Queuing and Indirect Intelligent Targeting, which allow the player to issue orders and commands that are to be executed in the same order the player wants them to. These will help the player improve their real time tactics and strategy and get the most out of their units, as every single one of them has unique advantages and disadvantages over the different types of terrain.

In the end, everything resumes to what Pfneudl said: "We think SunAge has a lot to offer gamers who love to play real-time strategy games as much as we do. We hope you will enjoy it and we promise to keep on supporting the game!". If this statement is true, we have indeed a good time-consuming game. We will find out soon. Some even sooner than others.
