One of the most popular games for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, Subway Surfers has been released by Kiloo Games about three years ago.

The endless runner is now getting new content monthly to keep players engaged and keep the game competitive on the market. However, there's life beyond Subway Surfer as well, and developer Kiloo Games wanted to show fans that they can make other games in different genres too.

In that regard, the folks at Kiloo have just revealed their latest game for mobile platforms, Stormblades. The new title has already been released on Android and iOS (sorry Windows Phone fans) for free.

Here is a short description of the game's background story: “For centuries, young Warriors have sought the secrets of the ruins in a quest to prove their worth.

“Journey on a Warrior’s rite of passage and fight the legendary Keepers. Test your might in the ruins to upgrade your weapon and release its arcane powers.”

Demonstrate your sword fighting skills and master powerful spells

When it comes to gameplay, Stormblades is a sword fighting game in the same genre as Infinity Blade, a popular iOS title. However, Kiloo's games add the element of spells, which players will need to master in order to inflict their fury on enemies.

Players will be able to empower their swords with Essence to make it more powerful. They can also claim the Relics of their fallen enemies as tokens of their conquest.

Beside the single-player campaign, Stormblades also includes a multiplayer part where players can compete with other Warriors around the world “for a chance at the glory.”

You can now download Stormblades for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game is fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and up. Keep in mind that while the game is available for free, it does come with in-app purchases.
