Motorola has just introduced the MOTOLUXE Android smartphone in Turkey, though the handset vendor did not reveal the phone’s exact release date.

However, Motorola mentioned the MOTOLUXE would be available for purchase for a suggested retail price of 749 TRY (425 USD or 320 EUR), probably via leading retailers across the country.

Powered by Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread operating system, the smartphone integrates Motorola’s MotoSwitch user interface, which actively learns which contacts the user calls most and which apps he uses frequently and puts them just a click away.

With the Social Graph feature, users will have quick access to favorite contacts thanks to the app’s ability to populate the home screen with the more frequently called friends. And it gets better and better as the more a user communicates with someone, the bigger their icon becomes.

Design-wise, Motorola MOTOLUXE is pretty impressive thanks to its large 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display and the lanyard slot that lights up whenever the user misses a call, receives a text or has an email waiting.

The smartphone is equipped with an 800 MHz single-core processor and packs 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

In the connectivity front, the MOTOLUXE offer users both HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps) support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS.

By combining sleek style with Android brains, MOTOLUXE is ideal for people who want the latest technology in a sophisticated package. Not only does this smartphone have a big screen and the latest, greatest entertainment tools, it’s affordable and won’t take a bite out of your budget,” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz, head of marketing, Central Europe, Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility.
