Don't rush to click the log-in link as soon as you see the bill

An email that seems to be coming from StubHub, alerting users on the fact that they will be charged for some tickets that will soon be delivered to them, might hit your inbox too.

AppRiver noticed the scam and concluded that the whole thing is a cleverly designed phishing attack that targets the accounts of unsuspecting internauts.

The message that details the invoice claims that you made an order in which you requested tickets to a Las Vegas boxing event for which you have to pay more than $2000 (1400 EUR).

The large amount might tempt you to quickly click on the Log In link that points to a page where you have to enter your credentials, but try to remain calm.

The phishing sites seem to be hosted on five domains that were taken over by the cybercriminals.

Stay clear of such messages and think twice before entering your username and password on a suspicious page which you accessed after clicking on a phony link.
