Apart from their taking their toll on an individual's mental health, stressful jobs can literally kill a person. Or so a team of Spanish researchers say.

These specialists explain that, as far as they can tell, those who have particularly stressful jobs have higher levels of bad LDL cholesterol.

On the other hand, their levels of good HDL cholesterol are fairly low.

High levels of bad cholesterol and an increased risk of developing one heart disease or another usually go hand in hand, Daily Mail reports.

Therefore, those who work stressful jobs would do best to go see a doctor every once in a while.

By the looks of it, emotional stress causes bad cholesterol to accumulate as a result of its altering the ways in which the human body typically handles fat.
