The impressive fighting game brings quite a few new things

Street Fighter V fans can now admire a fresh set of screenshots depicting some impressive gameplay moments from the fighting game, as well as a few brief details on the new V-Gauge or V-Skill mechanics that offer new things for the old series.

Street Fighter V was revealed to the world some time ago with just a few brief screenshots and a pretty impressive trailer. Since then, developer Capcom has shared a few more bits of information, including the fact that old character Charlie Nash will be joining a cast of old and new fighters, such as Ryu or Chun-Li.

New screenshots show off M. Bison as well

Now, ahead of a full presentation that's going to take place at E3 2015 next week, Capcom has just unleashed a fresh set of screenshots depicting Ryu, Chun-Li, Charlie Nash, and M. Bison, the trademark villain of the series..

The images show off not just some impressive attacks or special moves but also regular gameplay, complete with a pretty attractive user interface that depicts the health of the combatants, the EX gauge, and also the brand new V-Gauge.

The V-Gauge system adds more variety, apparently

According to a report from Gematsu, the new V-Gauge fills up as players take damage, and once it's full, it can be used to deploy a V-Trigger move. Examples confirm that Chun-Li can power up her attacks, while Nash can teleport short distances.

There's also a defensive mode named V-Skill, but it is unclear just how it's correlated to the V-Gauge. It enables Ryu to parry projectiles while M. Bison can bounce them back to his opponent.

Once the EX Gauge fills up, players can deploy a new Critical Arts multi-hit attacks.

You can expect to hear and see much more of Street Fighter V next week, at E3 2015, probably during the Sony press conference on June 15, as the game is coming to PS4 and PC in 2016.
