Given the fact that connectivity solutions able to stream Full HD signals from a source to a compatible HDTV are so CES 2010, IOGEAR had to come up with an even cooler solution for the 2011 International CES in Las Vegas and thus released the Wireless 3D Media Kit, the company's first device to wirelessly stream HD audio/video and offer 3D support up to 100 feet away. According to IOGEAR, their Wireless 3D connectivity solution includes a wireless 3D transmitter and a wireless 3D receiver, the latter coming equipped with a variety of connectors, such as HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA, and USB.

In this way, users will be able to stream content coming from a wide variety of devices, from Blu-ray 3D players to PCs and notebooks.

As mentioned before, the GW3DKIT has also been equipped with an USB port, that can easily dobule as a wireless keyboard /mouse connection, meaning that users will be able to control their home computers from up to 100 feet away, a feature that can really come in handy when the 3D signal source is actually a computer.

Additional features worth mentioning about the solution from IOGEAR include the fact that it supports Full HD 1080P 60Hz, 3D content and 5.1 channel audio, while its built-in IR emitter allows user control of hidden source devices.

"There is growing interest in 3D as major display manufacturers continue developing the technology to be more affordable and compelling," says Bill Nguyen, senior marketing manager for IOGEAR, adding that "our Wireless 3D Media Kit serves a complementary role that allows consumers to experience 3D, HD or standard definition content with more ease than ever before."

The GW3DKIT Wireless 3D Media Kit is set to arrive in stores at some point in Q1 2011, but, unfortunately, no pricing details for this product have been provided just yet.
