If you're the lucky owner of a Sony PlayStation 3 console, then you too must be able to download John Woo Presents Stranglehold right away. Well, the Internet would help quite a bit, as you need to log on to PlayStation Store for the downloading process. Want to know what you'll be getting yourself into? Have you watched John Woo's movies? That's what you'll be getting yourself into.

According to CVG, "Midway says the demo 'will allow players to get a taste of the intense, non-stop action, cinematic gunplay and massively destructible environments that their itchy trigger fingers have been waiting for'." And that's just the demo they're talking about. Here's the full game's official description and some of the basic features below:

Experience exhilarating 3rd person next-gen action as you continue the story of John Woo's influential action film, Hard Boiled, starring Chow Yun-Fat. Run into danger with both fists full of lead and take down the organized crime bosses who stepped over the line when they took your family. Stop at nothing as you destroy the entire world around you to get them back. You are a desperate man following your own rules; honor thy family; do what's right; fear no man.

All that and tons of slo-mo fighting and shooting, as we've gotten used to over the years. As for the full game's features...:

Gameplay features:

Signature Cinematic Action Stranglehold allows gamers to play a John Woo-directed action blockbuster movie. Dual-wielding, stunt-laden gunplay combined with massive destructible environments ensures that Stranglehold will be a true tour-de-force. The environmental interactivity and two-fisted gunplay all come online, bringing the experience to a whole new level.

Amazing Gunplay & Stunts Gamers will experience smooth flowing gameplay, such as running up railings, swinging on chandeliers and leaping onto moving objects, all without interrupting intense gun battles.

What technology do you think they're using to develop Stranglehold? Unreal 3 Engine of course, what else. Here's why, as revealed by those involved with the game's development back in January, this year:

"Unreal 3.0 & Havoc Using a highly modified version of the Unreal 3.0 engine integrated with the Havok physics system, Stranglehold will breathe new life into game environments and characters with stunning graphics. Incredible physics make it possible for everything in the world to be destructible and interactive, allowing for an ever changing battle ground depending on how players approach different situations."

So, remember: PS Store has a great title up for grabs, but even if it hadn't been a great title... it's FREE for Christ's Sake! I'd get Tetris if it were free on PS Store.
