Travelers might just try this out if they have a laptop without its own DVD unit

There are laptop bags and then there are laptop cases that just don't settle for doing what they are supposed to do, so they take it upon themselves to play extra roles.

SilverStone just made this sort of storage accessory, the Treasure TS06, a sort of laptop storage case that also has a compartment for optical disk drives.

Thus, for owners of mobile PCs that lack integrated CD, DVD or Blu-ray, the case will hold whatever USB-connected drive they decide to bring along on their trips.

The Treasure TS06 can hold a 2.5-inch storage unit instead (SSD, HDD or hybrid) and has a blue LED that shows the read/write access (the port is a 13pin slim SATA).

Finally, communication between the drives and the owner's laptop is done through an USB 2.0 cable and the whole thing costs 19.50 Euro.
