Stars are under constant pressure about their weight, and those few who refuse to comply are also the ones to speak openly about it. Disney star Miley Cyrus, for instance, has never been shy about talking about her body and the kind of (healthy) image she’s trying to promote for her young fans – in this sense, her latest Twitter post is no exception, the singer and actress lashing out against those who take to criticizing the way she looks.

Over the weekend, Miley hit the beach in the Bahamas for a little R&R. Several photos of the star in her colorful swimsuit hit the Internet in just a couple of hours after her arrival there. A bit later, she Tweeted about her thighs and even joked about giving up junk food, at least at night, which seems to have prompted a backlash from the community. “I just jiggled my thighs and they shook on their own for 3 mississipis no more late night lucky charms.” Miley wrote.

Whatever it was that cyber bullies said to Miley clearly upset her badly, since she later posted another message, this time to tell them off by pointing out that, just like any other girl, she too had some issues with her body but that did not mean she was not normal – or happy with herself, for that matter. In the same message, the star points out that, while the comments some people post on forums and chat rooms might seem harmless, they can have terrible consequences for those who are targeted. Kids will be kids and they can be easily brought down by negativity, Miley concludes by saying in what has been labeled the harshest Twitter message she has ever posted.

“Talk all you want. i have my flaws. im a normal girl theres things about my body i would change but stop with calling me f*t in post. i don’t even like the word. Those remarks that you hateful people use are fighting words. the ones that scar people and cause them to do damage to themselves or others. people that are so okay with being so hateful diguist me and need to spend last time on a gossip website and more time a. reading your bible b. reading stories/articles about what happens when cyber abuse and name calling happens. kids hurt themselves. this is not something to be taken lightly. i know these ‘message boards’ are ‘no big deal’ to YOU but is to the victim. this has got to stop!!! oh and ps if your thighs don't jiggle go see a doctor. thanks. :)” Miley writes in her post.

As fans must know, this is not the first time that the Disney star opens up about her weight or about how she would love it if people could just focus on themselves and stop trying to find flaws with others. In a recent interview, Miley was saying that she too felt pressured to lose weight but refused to do so since her focus was her health and definitely not what others made of her looks.
