Impressive anti-malware campaign

These guys are doing something huge, the StopBadware team I mean. They are researchers that have dedicated themselves to sniffing out and filtering malware on the Internet. And the thing is that they’re not some of those people that go "Oh, we’re putting an end to web based threats and bla bla bla" ?" they’re really doing something to solve the issue. They’re testing sites and labeling them as malicious if that is the case, and as an InfoWorld report has it, they’ve nailed more than 600.00 nefarious applications until now.

If you are going to visit their website and scroll down, you’re going to see that they have a lot of options in there to help fight efficiently against badware. It’s often hard to contact big security firms and they don’t always pay attention to what you have to say, to what have you discovered, but the people at StopBadware even have a link that says "Tell us your story". What more could you possibly ask for? Not only do they explain what malware can do to your machine and to your life, but they also give you the chance to submit technical reports or to get involved as well. They are doing something good for the Internet community and they’re not acting like snobs about it ?" they’re accepting any help thy can get. This is only natural, since the Web is such a huge place.

People are responding to them and they got some pretty good sponsors to back them up. And I’m talking about giants like PayPal, VeriSign and Google. It is clear that they’re doing a good job, otherwise these people wouldn’t have bothered to give them money to continue what they are doing. To be honest, I’m glad that more and more researchers are going out of their way to stop malware. And you could be a part of this too, so if you think that you know something about badware that they might not, go on and give them a helping hand, you can make a difference.
