14 DAY TRIAL // Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak has been confirmed as a speaker at the 48th Design Automation Conference (DAC), the worldwide premier event devoted to design and design-automation of electronic systems (EDA), DAC organizers have announced.
According to the announcement, Wozniak, who currently serves as chief scientist for Fusion-IO, will be answering some questions fired by San Jose Mercury News columnist Mike Cassidy on topics including the ‘joy’ of engineering, and turning innovative ideas into reality fueled by passion.
“DAC is one of the premier electronic design conferences -- where research and design come together to provide information to pioneering engineers and companies worldwide,” said Steve Wozniak.
“I’m really looking forward to connecting with the engineering community at this year’s show,” said The Woz.
DAC organizers expect the Apple co-founder to provide “a unique insight into the vision that started the largest and most successful technology company in the world.”
Currently at its 48th edition, DAC will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, from June 5-10, 2011.
The Woz will be on stage Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00pm. The event is sponsored by Magma Design Automation, DAC said.
