Reports indicate that Apple’s chief executive officer was present at a scheduled meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama, and several other technology leaders, despite reports that Jobs was in terribly bad shape.

Admittedly, these reports were unable to confirm the CEO’s current condition, as White House reporters were kept out of sight of participants at Thursday's working dinner hosted by venture capitalist John Doerr at his Woodside home.

A White House official, however, reportedly confirmed that all those on the guest list were present, including Mr. Jobs.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney reportedly said that Obama discussed his proposals to invest in research and development, as well as to expand incentives for companies to grow and hire, all in tandem with a key goal to increase exports.

The tech CEOs also joined Obama in a discussion about the importance of new investments in education.

Earlier this week, The National Enquirer published photos of Apple CEO Steve Jobs as he had just finished breakfast with his wife, and was on his way to a Cancer Clinic.

Based on these images, several physicians went on record to estimate how much longer the CEO would continue to live.

One of them even pinpointed the CEO’s life expectancy at no longer than six weeks.

According to Otis Brawley, chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society and a noted oncologist, these estimations are preposterous.

As Forbes reports, even if the photographs are real, any speculation about his condition is baseless.

The paper cites Otis Brawley as saying that, “Based on a photograph or even based of a videotape of someone giving a presentation on stage, it is impossible to make an estimation of someone’s life expectancy.”

According to the man, the report adds, “it’s not even really possible to make those kinds of estimates after a real exam.”

“I can’t look at someone’s picture and immediately say they’re sick,” Brawley said.
