A resident of the UK has broken the record for the longest tongue in the world, measuring 3.85 in (9.8 cm). A video of Stephen Taylor sticking out his tongue to prove it is provided above.

Taylor held the record in 2009 but, since then, his tongue has grown by 0.2 in (0.5 cm). He exercises it every morning, but he also credits the growth to having to expose it for publicity purposes.

"It keeps growing, probably because of all the TV shows where I’ve been sticking it out," he says.

Taylor once kissed Brigitte Nielsen for about 10 seconds on live television in Italy, Metro writes. He also met fellow long tongue holder Gene Simmons of the band Kiss.

Guinness measures the tongue starting on the middle of the top lip and ending at the tip of the tongue.
