“The wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part”

The 24th James Bond film is currently in pre-production, and while on-set sources and fans are taking shots in the dark trying to guess who will play the villain(s), one man is throwing his name out there, for producers to consider him for a role.

He’s not just any man, though: world renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, whose incredible life is now being portrayed in the film “The Theory of Everything” with Eddie Redmayne as lead (you might be familiar with the name because of his role in “Les Miserables”), would love to play a Bond baddie.

Speaking for the latest issue of Wired, Hawking says that this is his biggest movie dream, and he believes that he would be a perfect “fit” for the role especially because of his voice and his wheelchair.

He does have a point there: he could play the big villain, the one orchestrating the deeds of his henchmen, who is revealed in full only at the end. And the geeks would love the James Bond films even more if he was ever cast.

For the time being though, producers are looking into a different direction for the 24th film: they want to use a henchman like Jaws or Oddjob in the upcoming installment, and thus bring the franchise back to its roots.

Word online has it that Dave Bautista, who made a splash this summer at the box office as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” is being courted for the role. Christoph Waltz is the other name being thrown around for another villain role.

Even if Hawking doesn’t get to play villain, which he most definitely won’t, the villain squad is looking very promising with these two already. The film will be out in late 2015, so we’ll probably hear more of it soon.

Until then, here’s Hawking’s iconic “Star Trek” cameo.
