Although it's one of the world's best-known manufacturers of various accessories for PC gamers, SteelSeries has decided that extending its reach to the fans of gaming consoles it's also a good idea, and thus released at CeBIT 2011 the Siberia v2 Headset for Console Gamers.

Although, according to SteelSeries, this particular Siberia v2 versions has been designed specifically to work with Sony's PS3 gaming console, the company also reveals the fact that it's also compatible with just about every other gaming platform out there, including here the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, but also PCs and Mac systems.

The new headphone from SteelSeries comes packed with 50mm drivers, as well as a retractable microphone, that can really come in handy during the heated online multiplayer raids.

However, the SteelSeries Siberia v2 Headset also comes packed with plenty of extra surprises, such as, for example, the in-line AudioMixer, that offers independent control of the voice/in-game audio volume levels.

Another very interesting feature provided by the AudioMixer is the LiveMix, that enables users to select the proper ratio between game audio and voice volume that best suits their needs.

Additionally, the headset from SteelSeries is accompanied by a 12-foot cord, featuring an USB connection (that comes in handy when hooking the device up to the PS3 or the Xbox 360), but also with standard audio connectors, used when connecting the audio accessory to a computer.

And as an extra feature (further proving its impressive level of versatility), the Siberia headset even comes with RCA cable connectors for analog stereo connection to the television.

In terms of pricing, we'll have to say that the SteelSeries SteelSeries Siberia v2 for PS3 is actually extremely affordable, given its high level of versatility, since it's slated to hit the shelves at some point in Q3 2011 for $119.99 / €119.99 MSRP.
