Digital distribution has seen a big ascending trend for quite some time, as more and more PC gamers prefer the easy and hassle-free way to buy games from online networks such as Valve's Steam or Direct2Drive, rather than going to regular brick-and-mortar stores.

Another key factor that makes people buy games online is the fact that promotions and price cuts are immediately made available for all of them, and they don't have to wait for prices to be changed or stocks to be emptied out. Steam has been king in terms of price cuts and promotions, as we have reported on several occasions.

Now, Ubisoft fans will certainly be quick to make a Steam account, as the online service will be employing 50 percent price cuts on several key titles from the French company. The first one is the Director's Cut edition of Assassin's Creed, which now retails for just 10 dollars or 15 Euros if you live in Europe.

Each day of the week will see one Ubisoft title get a big price cut, with a highly anticipated weekend offer following at the end of this week. You can check out Ubisoft's publisher page on Steam, which is filled with titles that any gamer should try, including Far Cry 2, World in Conflict: Soviet Assault or Prince of Persia.

Steam users will certainly need to check out the program everyday in order to see which title gets its price slashed and decide whether or not to add it to their collection. If you put off buying one of the games that will enter the promotion, then this is the best time to purchase it and play it on your PC. Either way, this is a great promotion, which guarantees a lot of clients for Steam and Ubisoft.
