Polish studio Flying Wild Hog has confirmed that those who already own its Hard Reset title on PC via Steam will receive a free update to the game’s Extended Edition, which includes fresh content and appeares as a retail product soon.

Hard Reset is a very impressive game that delivers an old-school first person shooter experience where the players need to rely only on their array of weapons and try to withstand lots of enemies across a variety of environments.

The game first appeared last September as a digital download via Steam on the PC platform. After achieving impressive sales, developer Flying Wild Hog updated the game with new features, like a Survival mode.

Last week, it was released into retail stores in the U.S. in the form of a very special Hard Reset Extended Edition, in partnership with Kalypso, that included a lot of new things.

Now, the studio has confirmed that all Steam users who already own Hard Reset’s regular edition will receive an update with the content from the Extended one.

“To show our respect for all the PC gamers who picked up Hard Reset, we decided that the upcoming Expansion will be free for all those who already own Hard Reset on Steam,” the Flying Wild Hog team posted on the game’s Facebook page.

The Extended Edition DLC will be released sometime towards the end of April or the beginning of May.

Among the biggest features of the Hard Reset Extended Edition are things like four all-new enemy types, five fresh missions for the single-player campaign, as well as two new levels for the survival mode, adding a total of three hours of gameplay.

Last but not least, the Extended Edition of Hard Reset also includes many improvements for the already impressive graphics engine.

Look forward to an actual release date for this Extended Edition DLC soon.
