The panel has been moved below Friends and Achievements

Valve updated the Steam client beta a few days ago with new features and tweaks, but at least one of them did not function properly.

The addition of DLC details for each game did not offer a smooth experience as intended, which is why Valve has recently released another update to fix the issues brought in the previous version.

Those who opted for Steam client beta probably know that the DLC details panel was updating and resorting more frequently that it should.

The latest update fixes this issue and also moves the new DLC details panel as well as the workshop details panel below the Friends and Achievements panels in the game details UI.

In addition, the update should also fix checkboxes in list panels flickering or not rendering immediately after mouse wheel scroll of the list.

And the improvements don’t stop here. According to the official changelog, the responsiveness of library details view for games where you have many friends who play has also been improved.

The update will be delivered automatically when you open Steam

Valve has also confirmed that it has cleaned up all the redundant browser settings in Settings UI, so users will now be able to navigate more easily through this menu.

Regarding the new DLC details panel added by Valve, the update should also make it possible to manage DLC installation directly from this newly introduced panel in the library details view.

Last but not least, Valve has stated that it has changed tools to not appear in the Recent games filters / lists unless they are actually played. However, keep in mind that purchasing will still cause games to list but will not automatically add tools.

If you have already opted into the beta, this update will install automatically the moment you open Steam. Hopefully, no new bugs and issues will be added along with this small patch.
