Many people who drive for longer periods of time and/or during the night are in a real danger of falling asleep behind the wheel, and in order to prevent this extremely dangerous situation from occurring, a Danish company called Anti Sleep Pilot has come up with a product that helps drivers stay alert at all times.

Also called Anti Sleep Pilot, the device automatically registers the conditions that affect one's level of tiredness when they're driving and helps them stay alert while they drive, while constantly calculating their fatigue level using reaction times from tests which maintain alertness, among other things.

In fact, the device uses these personalized calculations to recommend drivers whenever they need to take a break (namely, when they are about to hit a critical driving fatigue level), and thus prevents accidents.

Easy to attach within a vehicle, the Anti Sleep Pilot records the car's movements and thus switches on and off automatically.

While driving, the Anti Sleep Pilot continuously monitors how tired the driver is and keeps them updated of this on its display.

Furthermore, the Anti Sleep Pilot maintains the driver's alertness by regularly using simple tests that trigger alertness, to which one responds by using a simple touch function (the Anti Sleep Pilot records the reaction times and includes these in its calculation of the driving fatigue level).

Last, but certainly not least, whenever the device decides that the user has reached a critical level of fatigue, it starts emitting both audible and visual signals to let them know it's time to take a break.

The Anti Sleep Pilot is solely available in Denmark for the time being, but it's quite likely that it will arrive in other parts of the world as well, selling for around 266 US dollars (or the equivalent in the local currency).
