Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty is without question the biggest video game launch of the moment and after getting to grips with both the single player and the multiplayer element of the title some players are now looking to Blizzard, the developers of the real time strategy title, to talk about the enhancements that they will bring to the experience in the near future, before they move all together to the development of Heart of the Swarm, the next episode of Starcraft 2 that will be built around the Zerg. It seems that players might be getting access to more challenge maps and enhanced replay functionality in the near future.

Zaryhm, who is a community manager working for Blizzard, has stated, “New challenge missions are certainly a good possibility for future content updates or expansions. :)”. A message coming from another representative of the company, Lylirra, said, “This is a functionality we're interested in providing our players at some point in the future. :)”, as part of a discussion about the possibility of offering a way for more than one player to check out a replay at the same time.

Lylirra also talks about map limits and how they could change in the future, stating, “No current plans, but we're aware that there are concerns regarding the current limits for publishing and sharing player-made maps. The feedback we've received so far is good, and we're keeping a very close eye on how the system is being used. This in turn will help us determine how best to accommodate our players and the mapmaking community-at-large.”

Blizzard is saying that Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty managed to sell more than 1.8 million units in the first day and the game went top of the United Kingdom chart. It's pretty clear that the same will happen when the NPD Group releases their figures for July in about two weeks.
