If you've ever wondered what Harry Potter and Star Wars have in common, the answer comes from an eccentric Welsh couple who decided to merge elements from the two movies and use them as wedding theme.

Nowadays, movies have become an increasingly popular source of inspiration for brides-to-be who want to have an unusual wedding celebration.

Victoria Maclean-Price and new husband Adam Maclean, from Tonna in South Wales, wanted to put a personal stamp on their big day and combined their favorite films to organize an unusual wedding party.

“I am the Harry Potter fan and Adam is the Star Wars fan, so what better way to make it our day, then to have these two films as the theme for our big day. It was the most perfect combination: the best of both worlds,” Victoria said, as reported by Daily Mail.

The bride-to-be used her arts and crafts skills to create special Harry Potter and Star Wars handmade props for her nuptials. The invitations handed out to family and friends came in the shape of Hogwarts' acceptance letters, while the cake was decorated with an AT-AT walker.

She also made floating candles similar to those at Hogwarts' Great Hall in Harry Potter, a Pensieve which looks like a large bowl, a 12-foot (3.65-meter) Christmas tree, and a six-foot (1.82-meter) high AT-AT Star Wars robot for her nuptials.

The magical environment was completed by a photographer who turned into a magician and entertained the guests with tricks.

Victoria and Adam tied the knot at St Anne's Church in Tonna, but their theme really came into play at Port Talbot's Bar Gallois where the reception took place.

Their idea enjoyed a tremendous success, and newlywed Victoria has even been offered the chance to transform her hobby into a business. She is now determined to embark on a new career as a set designer.

“The guests were completely amazed. The venue afterwards emailed and said they loved it. It was amazing. It was the perfect day,” the newlywed said.

Victoria has already received sponsorship from the Revue Studios in Swansea, whose owner Stacey Adamie observed and appreciated her talent and crafting skills.

“Victoria is a natural at prop making, and is one of the only in the area. I would like to provide the opportunity to see her develop this as a business not just a hobby,” Adamie said.
