Star Wars fans rejoice, as Disney and Lucasfilm have just announced they will launch a new mobile game in the franchise, Star Wars: Uprising.

The new game will be released sometime in Q3 2015, but until then developers confirmed they would roll out a beta version of Star Wars: Uprising in select regions.

First of all, this will be an RPG title for Android and iOS (once again, sorry Windows Phone users), which will be set between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.”

Star Wars: Uprising will be developed by Kabam Studio, and according to their statement, it will allow players to create their unique character, go on missions, and build their gear and skills.

But that's not all. Kabam also confirmed that players would be able to engage in real-time co-op with friends against the Empire.

The game will be unveiling a new chapter of the Star Wars franchise that will unravel interesting events in the Anoat Sector, inclusive of Hoth and Cloud City, following the Battle of Endor and the death of Emperor.

Pre-register and win exclusive prizes

There will be plenty of abilities to learn and lots of iconic Star Wars gear to collect, so you can build your own hero: Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Rebel Guerilla, Diplomat, Gambler or something completely unique.

Also, by pre-registering on the game's official website, fans can win exclusive prizes, including a storm trooper helmet, by simply voting for in-game content.

“Star Wars: Uprising is a deep role playing game (RPG) experience that will immerse players in the Star Wars universe during a unique time following the fall of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.

“The Kabam RPG Studio has taken its collective experience and passion for role playing games to focus on creating a unique and immersive gameplay experience for Star Wars fans and RPG gamers around the world,” said Kabam RPG Studio, senior vice president, Aaron Loeb.
