14 DAY TRIAL // Barely did Star Wars: The Old Republic receive its first major patch, in the form of update 1.1, also known as Rise of the Rakghouls, and already new issues and glitches have been encountered, while the Ilum PvP area has now been flooded by lots of new players.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is among the biggest and most promising MMOs currently available on the market, so BioWare, its developer, wants to make sure everyone is having a good time playing and competing online with others.
In order to solve a variety of issues as well as bring the first pieces of new content to the game, the studio has now deployed patch 1.1 for The Old Republic, which fixes a variety of issues and adds a new Flashpoint and an Operation.
Sadly, it seems that the update hasn’t had the smoothest of releases, as players are now reporting a variety of new technical issues, while users, tempted by the major rewards now added to Player versus Player battles as well as by a new glitch, have flooded the Ilum planet.
According to the game’s developer, a problem with the spawning of turrets has sparked an exploit that can now be taken advantage of by quite a lot of people who start the PvP battles.
A BioWare representative has already stated that it’s investigating issues related to Ilum after patch 1.1.
“Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that we are currently working on an official response to these issues and we will be posting it soon. Please understand that these issues require some time to investigate and we are making sure that we provide you all with the most updated information in our official response. “
As of right now, BioWare is still gathering feedback after the launch of patch 1.1 for Star Wars: The Old Republic, but you can expect subsequent, smaller updates to be released in the near future in order to eliminate the more serious issues.
