Activision Blizzard boss Bobby Kotick has recently revealed that his company isn't concerned about EA's upcoming big MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and that his own online RPG, World of Warcraft, will continue to be the most popular title out there.

Activision Blizzard's World of Warcraft is the game to beat for any MMORPG out there, as it currently has over 12 million paying subscribers.

EA's Star Wars: The Old Republic is shaping up to be the biggest competitor for that game, as BioWare, the developer of the title, is working extremely hard to create the richest online experience out there.

Even so, Kotick isn't really afraid of EA's upcoming title, despite the fact that fans of the Star Wars franchise are already drooling over the BioWare project.

According to him, World of Warcraft's loyal user base will continue to play the Blizzard title, no matter what BioWare releases.

"I can't say that we're hugely concerned about that... the audience for World of Warcraft is a pretty committed group of players," revealed the Activision Blizzard boss.

World of Warcraft now has over 12 million paying subscribers, a number that will no doubt grow this month, when the game's third expansion, Cataclysm, is released.

On December 7, when it is launched, Blizzard expects a huge amount of people to come back to the game in order to experience the new content.

Meanwhile, BioWare is still working on Star Wars: The Old Republic, a game that already cost EA a huge amount of money and that will incorporate many of the classic elements in the Star Wars universe.

There have been many titles that were hyped before their release as World of Warcraft killers, but as of yet, none of them even managed to attract some of the millions of WoW players all around the world.
