Star Wars: The Old Republic, one of the most ambitious MMORPGs set to appear in the near future, has just seen another one of its classes get detailed, and this time we can meet the new Smuggler one, alongside its two specialties, companions and star ships.

For those that prefer to act a bit more sneaky and like going rogue, the new Smuggler class is right up their alley, offering two specialties, Gunslinger or Scoundrel.

The first, as its name suggests, allows for a better use of weapons, specifically the blasters, which the Smuggler can dual wield.

The Gunslinger, according to his description, is "master of the trick shot" and can manage to incapacitate enemies through a variety of ways in the heat of battle, not to mention rig up distractions.

The Scoundrel perk sacrifices the dual wielding for a more sneakier approach, thanks to a stealth belt, a scattergun and a med pack, just in case things get sticky.

Players who opt for this specialty will be able to fight a bit dirty, through a shoot first and ask questions much later routine.

The Smuggler class will have a special companion, as you can see above, in the form of a Wookie, as a tribute to the famous Han Solo and Chewbacca couple from the original Star Wars Trilogy.

This specific Wookie is a gladiator that used to fight on the moon Nar Shaddaa, also known as the Smuggler's Moon.

He can be used as a tank or for crown control in the online game.

Next up, the ship that the Smuggler will use is the Corellian XS Stock Light Freighter, the “fastest and most nimble” in the whole galaxy.

As a tribute to the Solo's Millennium Falcon, the Smuggler's ship has a bigger cargo hold, secret compartments, as well as defenses in the form of lasers and torpedo batteries, and complete living quarters.
