Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they will be offering a new Deluxe Edition for their upcoming Star Wars Battlefront, which is designed to deliver some additional content for gamers who are willing to pay a little extra for it.

The digital version of the game can be pre-ordered from the official site and is designed to add the following items:

- an ion grenade which can be used to take out vehicles faster;

- an ion torpedo that can also affect enemy vehicles and will deliver greater damage;

- DL-44, the blaster that Han Solo uses, designed to add a dash of style to any character;

-  the ion shock remote, exclusive to this version of the game;

- a special victory emote that features fist pumping.

The final three items listed feel like they will only have a cosmetic impact on Star Wars Battlefront, which means that the new version of the game is probably best suited for those who are fans of the universe.

But both ion-based weapons have increased damage, which might mean that paying more for the shooter will actually allow some players to have a slightly improved performance when it comes to combat, something that the community will certainly not appreciate.

Star Wars Battlefront will focus on the original movie trilogy

The developers at DICE have explained that they want to take gamers to all the battlefields that were shown or mentioned in the original movie trilogy, allowing players to take enemies out on Hoth, Endor, Sulluth and more.

The studio is trying to make the Star Wars Battlefront experience as close to the original material it is based on as possible, using innovative tech in order to scan and bring items into the game and to create the actual maps.

The game is designed to encourage players to work together and achieve objectives in order to get access to the points they need to temporarily become a hero, turning their characters into Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and similar well-known figures from the Rebel side.

Star Wars Battlefront will be out on November 17 on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft, and gamers will get a special Battle of Jakku DLC pack for free after a few weeks, with content based on The Force Awakens.
