The information has been confirmed by EA studio Uprise

While Battlefield Hardline already benefits from Battlelog support, it appears that another game will be getting Battlelog when it is released - Star Wars: Battlefront.

Since Star Wars: Battlefront is an EA game and will feature multiplayer, it makes sense to work through Battlelog, just like the next Battlefield game.

The information has been recently confirmed by EA's Swedish studio Uprise, but aside from the fact that Star Wars: Battlefront will feature Battlelog support nothing else has been revealed.

There's a huge debate on Reddit on whether or not adding Battlelog to Star Wars: Battlefront is a good idea. But what exactly is Battlelog?

Battlelog is a social layer of Battlefield. Both Battlefield 3 and 4 had it and now Hardline, and possibly Star Wars: Battlefront, will get it too.

EA's Battlelog is meant to work like a companion experience that connects Battlefield games. It enables users to keep in touch with their Battlefield friends, configure their loadout and use the companion as an extended minimap while playing.

Battlelog is still better than any other older solutions

However, some people are afraid that they will have to reload the game every time they want to change servers. The good news is that both Battlefield 3 and 4 were quite fast when exiting and entering new games, and from our experience Battlefield Hardline is snappy as well.

Still, the general idea seems to be that it's better to use Battlelog than other older server browsers like the one from Battlefield 2, so Star Wars fans should not worry too much about the fact that the next game in the franchise will feature support for EA's Battlelog.

We don't expect EA to back down from implementing Battlelog into Star Wars: Battlefront, even if a large amount of fans will be asking for that. We will probably find out more about the next Star Wars game in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
