Any respectable “Star Wars” fan must have seen at least a dozen times the “I find your lack of faith disturbing” scene (which is also embedded above). The actor playing Darth Vader’s Force-choke victim has died.

Richard LeParmentier was 66 years old but a cause of death is yet to be announced, TMZ reports.

He starred in a multitude of TV shows and films but he became a true iconic figure by playing Admiral Motti, commander of the Death Star, who meets such a terrible end when he dares mock Darth Vader’s “sorcerer’s ways” and “sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion.”

The scene is so iconic that, just lately, it spanned a new Internet meme called Vadering.

“[LaParmentier] had been married to British actress Sarah Douglas, who played the baddie Ursa in ‘Superman 11’,” TMZ says.

He will be missed.
