“The only reason you’re still alive is because I’m allowing it,” Kirk tells Harrison

The clock is ticking for the big premiere of “Star Trek Into Darkness,” inarguably one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and Paramount is still offering teasers left and right.

One of them is also above: a new clip titled “I Allow It.” It counts as never before seen footage.

The video shows the confrontation between Cpt. James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), with the former trying to make the latter understand there’s only one reason why he’s still alive – and that’s because he, Kirk, allows him to be.

Of course, that’s not really the case, as you will find out if you watch the video. Speaking of which, pardon me for being a girl and swooning a bit over Cumberbatch’s rich and velvety voice.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” also stars Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, and Karl Urban, and is directed by J.J. Abrams. It will be out in most territories starting May 17.
